Sanük was founded in 1997 by Jeff Kelly. It all began when he started making shoes from inner tubes and indoor-outdoor carpet. Since their beginning they have progressed into a “semi-proper footwear company (uh-oh)” however Jeff’s innovative spirit is still the backbone to the small company. Sanük aims to keep their products going with a twist of funk and splash of function. Sanük is the Thai word for Fun, and so the company keeps a focus on keeping to their products true to their name. Even though Sanük remains a small company, they do continue to grow and their shoes are sold across the United States and in over 50 countries throughout Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia.
